Low Light Survival

This is a 1 day 10 hour course. That provides the students with the training to effectively control their environment and suspect with light. Students learn how light effects the eyes and are taught to use light to gain and maintain the advantage in low light encounters. This class is designed for experienced students and will be conducted at an aggressive pace. Classroom, Live fire exercises and force on force shooting scenarios will challenge the student under high stress low light conditions. Dynamic entries, building searches, downed officer recovery drills, non-verbal low light communication tactics, and target identification/selection will be used throughout the course. Students will learn to use light to:

  • Increase your shooting accuracy
  • Better identify your target and assess the threat

This course will conclude with a Course Review and Examination.

All instruction materials, range time, and targets are provided by Tactical Services Group. The student is required to provide a handgun, shotgun, eye and ear protection, flashlight or weapons mounted light, billed baseball type hat, 250 rounds of pistol ammunition, 50 rounds buckshot, 15 slug rounds, and a strong side holster.
